With our extensive experience and expertise, we can conduct research into diseases (caused by viruses, fungi, bacteria, phytoplasma, and nematodes), pests (caused by insects and mites), and physiological abnormalities caused by weather conditions, storage conditions, or growing conditions. Some examples of research we have conducted through customization:
- Cultivate Fusarium from visually healthy gladiolus corms to detect latent infection.
- Identify Penicillium species on different batches of lilies.
- Testing a collection of a particular bulbous plant for the presence of the yellow disease bacterium (Xanthomonas hyacinthii) and other pathogens.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the sick leave robot using laboratory tests.
- Test gladioli for the presence of Burkholderia with additional questions.
- Determining the concentration of fungal spores in solutions for infecting bulbs.
- Monitor tulips for tulip gall mite (Aceria tulipae).
- Identify Botrytis species on different batches of lilies.
- Identify Fusarium species on different batches of a particular bulb crop.
- Special cases of stage research to determine whether flowering has occurred or why a crop is not flowering.
