Swipe sample
With the use of contact sheets you can have a PCR test carried out to check whether the hard surfaces of, for example, your rinsing line or tubing box, have been effectively disinfected and are free of PlAMV and/or TVX. You wipe over the surfaces to be tested with a contact sheet. You can also dip the contact sheets in rinse water, boiling or disinfection bath.
It is important to use a new latex glove with each sheet. This is because cross-contamination between sheets is detected by the PCR test.
Water sample
A PCR test is used to check the water sample for the presence of PlAMV and/or TVX. Submission of a bottle containing 100 ml of liquid is sufficient.
Results
De resultaten per contactvelletje of watermonster worden weergegeven met een Cq-waarde. Een hoge waarde, betekent een laag aantal virusdeeltjes (of bij geen een Cq-waarde van 40) in het monster en visa versa. Een Cq-waarde van <40 zegt niets over de virusdruk op de bemonsterde locatie. Een Cq-waarde van 40 (geen virus aangetoond) geeft wel een goede indicatie dat de bemonsterde locatie vrij van virus is.

Volume test
A number test on virus can be used in different ways to achieve a healthy batch of flower bulbs. For tulips and lilies there is the possibility to start up a healthy batch by means of a volume test. In this test the diseased bulbs are selected from a larger quantity of bulbs to achieve a healthy batch, by testing via PCR or a combination of ELISA and PCR.
After an intake you will receive a tailored quotation for the volume test. This will give you a clear idea of the costs in advance. Afterwards, the volume test is planned together with you so that the test and the plant are attuned to each other in order to prevent failure after the test.
